New Delhi: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) today expressed its profound grief at the demise of former External Minister Sushma Swaraj and also noted her happiness at the government’s decision to revoke Article 370.

The RSS condolence letter said, “The news of her sudden demise is unimaginable, unbelievable, sad and pain-full.”

The letter is signed by Sarsanghchalak Mohanji Bhagwat and RSS Sarkaryavah Suresh (Bhaiyaji) Joshi.

The letter further says, “She was happy with the recent historic development in the nation, as she expressed before she left us. We express condolences to her family in this moment of grief. ”

“About 45 years of her social, political life is ideal and worth following from many perspectives.”

Sushma Swaraj had the interest of the nation in her heart till her final breath. Her final tweet, barely few hours before her death, is a testimony to this.

She tweeted about the government’s decision to revoke Article 370 and was extremely happy about it. She said, “Narendra Modiji – Thank you Prime Minister. Thank you very much.  I was waiting to see this day in my lifetime.”
