Srinagar: 190 primary schools are set to reopen today in Srinagar. Jammu and Kashmir Government spokesperson Rohit Kansal said, primary schools will re-open today in Kashmir valley.
Prior to the abrogation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, restrictions were imposed on Kashmir. Schools were closed for security. With the current situation in Kashmir calming down, authorities have decided to open schools.
At the same time, business establishments are operational in Jammu. Traffic is back to normalcy. The schools in Rajouri, Ramban and Doda districts have already started functioning.
Also government offices and banks are generating without any disruption. 2G mobile Internet services were once again snapped in five districts of Jammu region, a day after the services were restored. According to PTI, landline services in 17 exchanges of the Kashmir Valley were restored on Saturday. These exchanges are mainly in Srinagar district’s Civil Lines area, Cantonment area and the airport.
