New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid tribute to the former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley at his residence and met the latter’s family.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also present.
Modi could not attend the last rites of Jaitley as he was on a three-nation visit to France-UAE-Bahrain. He had, however, spoken to Jaitley’s family following the news of his demise and expressed his grief and condolences.
Arun Jaitley (66) passed away in New at the AIIMS hospital on August 24. He was the Finance and Corporate Affairs minister in the first term of Modi government and also held portfolios of Defence and Information and Broadcasting.
