New Delhi: Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, the synonym of valor and pride of Indian Air Force, flew MiG-21 Bison aircraft over Air Force Day parade at Hindon Air Base.
Abhinandan Varthaman, the IAF pilot has become the icon of the dogfight between India and Pakistan in February this year. Abhinandan flew a MiG-21 Bison in Balakot and was shot down in the combat,and taken prisoner by Pakistan. He was released after two days of captivity.
The pilots fought in the Balakot air strike also flew three Mirage 2000 aircraft and two Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft at the Hindon Air Base in Gaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
