New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed his grief over the mishap caused in the wee hours killing around 19 people and 25 others suffered major injuries.
“Extremely anguished by the bus accident in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruppur district. In this hour of grief, my thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families. I hope those who are injured recover at the earliest,” PMO tweeted.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that all necessary arrangements have been made for providing medical help and also to identify bodies of all the deceased.
The KSRTC Garuda Volvo bus travelling from Bengaluru and the lorry had a head on collision at around 3.15 am. Both the driver and conductor of the bus are among those killed in the accident.
The deceased are mostly from Thrissur and Palakkad districts of Kerala.
