New Delhi: After Delhi CM and Deputy CM’s names were dropped from the Melania Trump’s event at a Delhi Government school, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra made clear that India doesn’t influence the US administration.
Patra denied all the allegations by the Aam Aadmi Party on dropping the names of CM Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.
“Petty politics should not be played on important occasions. The Indian Government doesn’t influence the USA on whom to invite and whom to not. So, we don’t want to get into any arguments,” Patra said.
US President Donald Trump, accompanied by wife Melania, daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner and a high-level delegation, will arrive in Ahmedabad around noon on February 24 for less than a 36-hour-long trip to India.
