Srinagar: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday paid a surprise visit to Kashmir, said officials.
The Union Minister is slated to visit the Srinagar Passport Office located on the banks of the famous Dal Lake in Boulevard area of the city. He will also visit Passport Seva Kendra in Baramulla district.
Although the purpose of the visit is unknown, it is supposed that he might meet families of the students stranded in Iran.
The parents of the students have appealed the government to evacuate them from Iran due to coronavirus scare.
