New Delhi: According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of cases of coronavirus in the country on Monday has surged to 1,071 and the death toll rose to 29.
The number of active cases stood at 942, while 99 people were either cured or discharged and one had migrated, the ministry stated.
Among the total number of cases, 49 are foreigners.
