Mumbai: Home Minister of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh on Tuesday gave forewarning in the view of April Fool’s Day pranks that no individual should spread fake news or rumours on coronavirus.
He said that strict action will be taken against those miscreants.
Taking to Twitter, he said, “Tomorrow’s April 1st. The annual tradition making an ‘April Fool’ of people has already begun on WhatsApp & social media. The state govt won’t allow anyone to spread rumours/panic on #Corona. I’ve instructed @MahaCyber1 to act swiftly & strongly such miscreants.”

Maharashtra has recorded 230 positive cases of coronavirus, the highest in the country so far.
