New Delhi: Amid the ongoing lockdown due to coronavirus outbreak, the police personnel are likely to be targeted by the ISIS Terrorists, claims report.
“Police personnel deployed at various pickets, barricades in Delhi in connection with maintaining of law and order in Delhi during the COVID-19 duty may be targeted by suspected ISIS operatives. The field staff maybe briefed accordingly,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) told ANI.
Following the reports, security has been beefed up across Delhi.
The country is under a 21-day lockdown after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in a bid to contain the spread of COVID-19.
As on Tuesday, the number of cases of coronavirus in India stood at 1397 with a death toll of 35, while 123 were either cured or discharged after treatment.
