Mumbai: Wockhardt Hospital in Mumbai has been declared a containment zone on Monday after 26 nurses and three doctors tested positive for coronavirus.
The BMC took the decision to seal the hospital and nobody will be allowed entry and exit from the hospital till everyone tests negative twice consecutively.
A total of 270 swabs of hospital staff and some patients have been sent for tests.
Wockhardt Hospital has so far reported nearly 30 coronavirus positive cases.
“We have declared Wockhardt Hospital as a containment zone and have removed 30 doctors and nurses from there. We have shifted these COVID-19 suspected cases to the Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai, where further tests will be carried out,” said Vijay Khabale-Patil, chief pyblic relations officer at BMC, reported Livemint.
