Dehradun: Uttarakhand DGP Anil Raturi has warned all the attendees of the Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi to surrender and declare themselves within 24 hours or face prosecution for murder.
“People who had attended Tablighi Jamaat event should come forward and disclose the information within 24 hours, otherwise, FIR (First Information Report) will be registered against them under sections of murder and attempt to murder,” DGP Anil Raturi said.
The Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi has contributed 30 per cent share of the spread of virus disease and emerged as the hotsopt for COVID-19. A lare number of positive cases recorded in India linked to the gathering including deaths in Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Telangana.
