New Delhi: Press Information Bureau’s Fact Check Unit on Saturday clarified that the Government of India is not providing Rs 1000 to anybody in the name of Corona Sahayata Yojana scheme.

The clarification notification comes after a message was being circulated on WhatsApp claiming that the Centre had launched a scheme-WCHO- under which people were being given Rs 1000 each. The message requires people to click on a link and provide their information.

PIB Fact Check tweeted that the claim and the link both were fraudulent and warned people against clicking on it.

pic.twitter.com/i8z3K5dEid
