Ayodhya: After paying obeisance to deity Ram Lalla at the makeshift temple in Ayodhya, Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust chairman Mahant Nritya Gopal Das on Tuesday announced the beginning of the construction of the Ram Temple.
The century-old dispute was on Ram temple was ended on November 9, 2019 when the Supreme Court pronounced the historic verdict, paving way for the construction of a Ram Temple at the disputed site.
A 5-judge Constitution bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi had said, “The faith of the Hindus that Lord Ram was born at the demolished structure is undisputed.”
Meanwhile, the devotees have donated a whooping sum of Rs 4.60 crore in the two accounts of the trust during the lockdown period. More than 5000 people have made donations so far.
