Mumbai: The rising numbers of coronavirus among the police personnel is a serious concern for Maharashtra now as the total cases of the force reached 2,095.
131 more police personnel were tested positive for the virus while two died in the last 24 hours.
“In the last 24 hours, 131 police personnel have tested positive for COVID-19. The total number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra Police has risen to 2,095 with the death toll at 22,” Maharashtra Police said in a statement.
The surging cases in the state is an alarming one and it is the worst-affected state in the country with 56,948 cases and 1,897 deaths.
