New Delhi: India recorded the highest spike of 7,466 more coronavirus cases and 175 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 1,65,799 on Friday.
The death toll in the country stands at 4,705 in the country.
There are 89,987 active cases while 71,105 people have been cured.
Maharashtra is the worst affected state with 59,546 cases, followed by Tamil Nadu with 19,372 cases.
