New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday came down heavily upon West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her insulting remark on Shramik Express.
He was speaking during the virtual rally West Bengal Jan Samvad.
Shah said, “Mamata Didi, you have insulted our poor migrant Bengali brothers and sisters, who wanted to get back to their homes, by calling Shramik Express as Corona Express. I want to assure you, Mamata didi, that these words of insult will become TMC’s Exit Express from Bengal.”

Shah attacked Mamata Banerjee’s statement wherein she had said, ” They are stuffing the Shramik trains full of people, there is no social distancing, no food, no water, nothing. What are they trying to do? Are they running Shramik trains or are they trying to run Corona Express.”
“There is no democracy in Bengal under TMC rule. Continued violence against BJP karyakartas is a testimony of the same. It must stop. BJP under PM Modi’s leadership is striving hard for the Bengal’s development. I thank people of Bengal for their continued support & faith in BJP,” he said.
“PM Narendramodi has credited about ₹72,000cr directly in the account of 9.5 crore farmers through PM-KISAN. But again our farmers of Bengal have been deprived because Didi has not provided the list of farmers, as she is scared this would make PM Modi even more popular in Bengal,” said Amit Shah.
