Mumbai: The death toll in Maharashtra Police due to coronavirus has surged to 54 after three more personnel succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours.
However, 3,239 policemen have recovered from the disease and only 991 police personnel are undergoing treatment for coronavirus.
Maharashtra remains the worst-affected state with 1,42,900 cases of coronavirus.
