New Delhi: After the Centre blocked 59 Chinese apps in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has now quit Chinese microblogging website Sina Weibo.
PM Modi’s account went blank and his profile photo, posts and comments were removed from the handle on Wednesday. He had 2,44,000 followers on the handle and 115 posts.
Weibo is the largest Chinese microblogging site which has a more complex procedure to quit for VIP accounts.
There was a great delay in granting this permission.
On Weibo it is quite difficult to delete posts with the photo of Chinese President and hence two posts could not be deleted. Remaining 113 posts were removed.
