Ramanathapuram: In a major advantage to the devotees, Indian Railways has started its new railway bridge project at the Pamban Sea, Rameswaram in Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu.
Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said that the new project is a gift to devotees of Lord Ram.
“Railways Gift to Devotees of Lord Ram: Connecting Mandpam & Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu through modernised technology, Railways has started constructing the 1st pillar of the vertical lift rail bridge,” he tweeted.

The project at Pamban Sea is estimated to Rs 250 crores and expected to complete the project within two years.
The Construction of pillars testing completed at Mandapam Thoniturai, and the north coast of Pamban. Now the construction of pillar work has started at the north coast of Pamban.
