New Delhi: As per the mandate by the Supreme Court, the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya is likely to begin soon. The members of Shri Ramjanmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will hold a meeting on Saturday to finalise the date agreed upon by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The trust members have sent an invitation to the Prime Minister and the date for the starting of temple construction will be finalised after the meeting.
“Chairman of the temple construction committee Nripendra Mishra will be present at the meeting. He will come with a date that has been approved by the Prime Minister,” said the source.
Earlier, the ceremony was decided to be celebrated in a grand manner however due to the unprecedented outbreak of COVID-19, will witness a celebration in a compressed manner. The list of attendees for the ceremony is likely to have only PM Modi, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, UP CM Adityanath Yogi, a few ministers and MPs from the region, according to sources.
“Bhoomi pujan will be done at Garbh Griha to begin temple construction. This is the formal beginning of temple construction for which invites have been sent out,” added the source.
