Chandigarh: Yet in an another trouble, the BJP-led government in Haryana has ordered a probe into the assets owned by Gandhi-Nehru family in the state. Haryana chief secretary Keshni Anand Arora has asked Haryana urban local bodies department to investigate the assets linked to the Gandhi family, reported India Today.
The Haryana government has ordered a probe into the Gandhi family’s assets acquired between 2004 and 2014 i.e. when the Bhupendra Singh Hooda-led Congress government was in power.
Sources say that Haryana chief secretary Keshni Anand Arora has sent three communications to the additional chief secretaries besides asking the the Urban Local Bodies department to list the properties and other assets owned by the Nehru-Gandhi family.
Earlier this month, the Union government had formed a panel to probe Gandhi family’s three trusts- Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust, and Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust after foreign funding was exposed.
