Ayodhya: As the countdown begins for the historic foundation laying ceremony of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the work at the stone-carving workshop has reached its final stage.
Caretaker of Ram temple stone workshop Hanuman Yadav told news agency ANI, ” Stonework is ready for the ocnstruction work till the first floor of the temple. Cleaning work is almost done but some work is still left which will be done soon after the trust’s meeting.”
Sandstone has been chosen for the construction. ” It was chosen for the construction as it can withstand rigours for thousands of years. These designated stones are minutely craved according to the need of the temple,” he added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ayodhya on August 5 and will lay the foundation stone for the construction of the Ram Temple. Prior to the site, PM Modi will first visit Hanumangarhi.
