New Delhi : Solicitor General Tushar Mehta did not permit to proceed on the petitions filed against Sreedharan Pillai and Thantri on contempt of court.
The opposition on the verdict is counted as creative criticism, no petition can be allowed on the basis of news, said Tushar Mehta.
In order to file a case to supreme court, on contempt of court, the petitioner has to seek consent from Attorney General or the Solicitor General. Petitioners Dr. T Geena Kumari and A V Varsha had approached Attorney General K K Venugopal, however Venogopal had already took a stand to stand for the majority hence he left it for the Solicitor General to decide.
