All the expenses for the demolition will be recovered by the Yogi government from the gangster, as the property was illegal.

“UP police today demolished illegal property of gangster Mukhtar Ansari. All the expenses for the demolition will be realised by the Yogi government from the gangster. Criminals should either give up crime or be ready to face such tough decisions,” Mrityunjay Kumar, media adviser to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, said in a tweet.

The map of the illegally constructed building was not sanctioned by the Lucknow Development Authority. The police have registered an FIR against Mukhtar Ansari’s sons, Abbas Ansari and Umar Ansari, the owners of the property.

At the same time, properties worth more than Rs 50 lakhs of Ansari’s aide was confiscated by the Varanasi police.
