Mumbai: Actor Kangana Ranaut in a video message on Sunday came down heavily upon Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut for his abusive remark on her.
In the video message, Kangana Ranaut reminded him that he is “not Maharashtra” and said that he has no right to demand an apology from her.
“Sanjay-ji I condemn you, you are not Maharashtra,” she said in a video statement.
“You (Sanjay Raut) have empowered the people who commit crimes against women. The daughters of this country will never forgive you”, she said.
She asked him that why was his abusive remark directed only towards her and not actors like Aamir Khan or Naseeruddin Shah, who had earlier said that they were afraid to live in Mumbai. Kangana Ranaut termed his mindset “anti-women”.

When Maharashtra government failed to investigate the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case and had to hand over the case to Central Bureau of Investigation, it irked Sanjay Raut. Kangana has always been critical against Mumbai Police over their handling of the case.
“Why is Mumbai feeling like Pakistan-occupied- Kashmir”, she had tweeted.
“If that girl (Kangana Ranaut) will apologise to Maharashtra, then I will think about it (of apologising). She calls Mumbai a mini Pakistan. Does she have the courage to say the same about Ahmedabad?” Sanjay Raut was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
