“Gandhiji has so much more to offer to us if we take lessons from his life, particularly when we are facing a pandemic. During the outbreak of a deadly plague, he flung himself into health care and sanitation duties that exemplified his selfless service,” President Kovind tweeted.

Remembering Lal Bahadur Shastri he tweeted, “Today we remember former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary. A great son of India, he served our nation with exceptional dedication. His fundamental role in the Green Revolution, the White Revolution and wartime leadership continue to inspire the nation.”
