Srinagar: The Enforcement Directorate on Monday interrogated National Conference president Farooq Abdullah in Srinagar in connection with the J&K Cricket Association scam.
It is alleged that a misappropriation of Rs 43 crores was noticed when Abdullah was the chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association.
ED officials said the National Conference president’s statement will be recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
The CBI had filed a chargesheet for the “misappropriation of JKCA funds amounting to Rs 43.69 crore” from grants given by the BCCI to promote the sport in the state between 2002-11.
