New Delhi : The Public Interest plea filled to replace the voting machines by Ballet boxes for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections was rejected by the Supreme Court. The bench chaired by chief justice Ranjan Gogoi rejected the plea.
Nyaya Bhoomi a voluntary association has filed the petition. The petitions main highlight was, voting machines can be misused, for the election to be more transparent ballet boxes must be used. The Supreme Court responded that any technology can be used at its best or none.
