New Delhi : Indian passports will be available within 48 hours as India’s missions will soon issue passport in less than two days to the citizens abroad. The scheme will be soon introduced in different countries said, Minister of State for External Affairs V K Singh. The facility will be implied by connecting the Passport Offices of Embassies and Consulate with data centers in the country.
V K Singh spoke to the press at Washington as he inaugurated Passport Seva Kendra in the Embassy. Passports are issued within 48 hours by the Seva Center which is opened at the Consulate of New York on 21st. Soon the facility will be introduced to the other nations.
The first such establishment among the foreign countries is in the UK. The facility will be available within a short wait at Atlanta, Houston, Chicago and San Francisco.
