The impact of water scarcity is slowly but with a steady pace is unveiling itself to the world.
Pune restaurants have taken the initiate to save water. The first step, around 400 restaurants throughout the city serve only half glass of water to its customers.
Ganesh Shetty, owner of Kalinga Hotels and Pune Restaurants and Hotels Association President, said that strong measures will be adopted to save drinking water. Serving half filled drinking glass to its customers and providing additional drinking water only on demand is the first step of saving drinking water.The remaining water after serving is recycled and used for watering the plants or for household purposes.
Climate change and the growth of cities also increase the scarcity of water.
