New Delhi : Controversial industrialist Vijay Mallya approaches Supreme Court against Enforcement Directorate’s plans to seize all the movable and immovable properties of Vijay Mallya along with the legal proceeding to declare him as the most wanted. The Supreme Court rejected the request on stay on the proceedings and the Court sent a letter to the Enforcement Directorate seeking an explanation.

The case against Malliya is filed in a Special Court under the prevention of Money Laundering Act. According to Money Laundering Act if an accused is announced as wanted, then his property can be seized without waiting for his final decree in the case. Special Court and the High Court has earlier rejected Malliya’s plea is the reason he approached the Supreme Court. The London Court will announce the verdict on India’s request to handover Vijay Malliya, who has left the country with his unpaid lump some financial aid.
