Ahmedabad: Ravendra Jadeja hits a four in the last ball as Chennai Super Kings wins their fifth title in IPL 2023
Gujarat Titans opener Wriddhiman Saha’s half century and third down Sai Sudarshan’s 96 runs in just 47 sets a target of 215 for CSK. But, a passing shower interrupted the match between the two teams and in according to DLS method the second innings had to be reduced to 15 overs giving Chennai a total of 171 to chase. Gujarat create the highest ever score in an IPL final against Chennai Super Kings at Narendra Modi Stadium.
Big hits from Deon Conway, Ajinkya Rahane ,Shivam Dube and Ambati Raydu helped CSK’s target but Mohit Sharma came in with important wickets which helped GT to get back into game. CSK needed 10 runs in last two balls, but Ravindra Jadeja finished up by smashing a six in the second last ball and a four in last ball lead CSK win by five wickets and win their fifth title in TATA IPL 2023 as well.
