Srinagar: A terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning. ‘A terrorist was killed in an encounter in the Dassal forest area of Rajouri and a search operation is underway’, army officials said. No further details have been released.
Meanwhile security forces have arrested terrorists associated with the banned outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba in Bramulla. The security forces nabbed the terrorists near Frestihar Kreeri village while they were trying to escape. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from them. The arrested terrorists have been identified as Suhail Gulzar and Wazeem Ahmad Pata. A case has been registered against them under the UAPA Act and the Arms Act at Kreeri police station.
Security forces have set up a Mobile Vehicle Check Point (MVCP) at Frestihar-Waripora crossing after receiving specific information about the movement of militants in Frestihar Kreeri village.
