The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches at 10 locations in Punjab and Haryana on Tuesday in relation to a case associated with the banned terrorist organisation known as Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF). The raids took place at nine sites in Punjab and one in Haryana, aiming to uncover a criminal conspiracy involving the fundraising efforts for the banned outfit and the smuggling of arms, ammunition, and explosives across the borders.

According to media reports, the NIA took independent action and initiated the case on August 20 of the previous year, registering it under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.

Furthermore, on May 20, the NIA apprehended two individuals from Punjab at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), who were allegedly linked to the designated terrorist Arshdeep Dalla, based in Canada, and the KTF. These individuals were deported from Manila, Philippines, and subsequently arrested by the NIA, furthering the investigations into this case.
