New Delhi: Spelling trouble for Congress, the Delhi High Court Division Bench dismissed the plea given by Associated Journals Ltd. (AJL) to cancel the eviction order of its office space in ITO Delhi.
Last December, National Herald, published by AJL with links to the Congress party, was asked by Delhi High Court to vacate its office at a prime location in Delhi. The government had ordered eviction on the grounds that no press was functioning there and that the office was used for commercial purpose, which was in violation of its lease agreement.
BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has alleged corruption in the transfer of AJL’s shares to Young India, a relatively new company with Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi as its Directors.
