Lucknow: External Affairs Minister S. Jayashankar, along with G20 delegates, attended the Ganga Arti at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi. In order to accommodate the foreign delegates, special seating arrangements were organised by the authorities. India is currently hosting a three-day meeting of ministers from G20 member nations with a primary focus on addressing disruptions in the global supply chain, challenges related to food and energy security, and the impact of climate change, among other important issues.
Delegates from prominent countries, including Brazil, Germany, Japan, Indonesia, and China, had arrived in Varanasi to attend the meeting. About 200 people attended the meeting, presided over by S. Jayashankar. Additionally, the External Affairs Minister held separate talks with German Economic Cooperation Development Minister Svenja Schulze and Australian Minister Pat Conroy.
