Research scholar at Anna University found dead under suspicious circumstances

CHENNAI: A research student at Anna University in Chennai was found dead in a nearby apartment.

According to reports, M. Gowran (30), a PhD research scholar hailing from Palakkodu in the Dharmapuri district, was found deceased in an apartment located in Urapakkam, Chennai.

This news has raised several suspicions among other research scholar, as the deceased scholar was almost finished with the thesis. At the same time, it is worth noting that many students at Anna University face challenges in completing their PhDs on time. Several suspicions are arising among other scholars regarding the deceased scholar’s reasons for visiting an apartment in Urapakkam, which is over 30 kilometers away from the residence near the University.

The police are investigating the case because the cause of death seems suspicious.
