The United Arab Emirates (UAE) embraced the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a magnificent gesture as the renowned Burj Khalifa illuminated itself in the colours of the Indian national flag.
The Burj Khalifa, renowned for its mesmerising light-and-sound shows, illuminated the night sky as a prelude to PM Modi’s official visit to the Gulf nation. Alongside the colourful display, the Burj Khalifa also featured a projected image of the Prime Minister, accompanied by a message that read, “Welcome Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
The Burj Khalifa stands tall as a symbol of Dubai’s architectural marvels and is considered a must-see attraction in the city.
PM Modi embarked on the final leg of his two-nation tour, arriving in Abu Dhabi on Saturday for his official visit. Upon his arrival, he received a ceremonial welcome at the airport, followed by a meeting with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Expressing his gratitude for the warm reception in the Gulf nation, PM Modi took to Twitter, where he posted, “Grateful to Crown Prince HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for welcoming me at the airport today.”
