New Delhi: During the past 9 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, significant infrastructural achievements have been realized in the Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency. Notable among them are the construction of the world’s highest rail bridge and Asia’s longest state-of-the-art road tunnel.
Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh, highlighted these remarkable projects during a luncheon meeting with PRI representatives, Panches, Sarpanches, BJP office bearers, and activists from the constituency. He emphasized that unprecedented developmental works have transformed the Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Lok Sabha Constituency, but there is a need to create greater awareness about these achievements throughout the region.
Dr. Singh expressed pride in the recent inauguration of the Bharat Mandapam, the world’s largest Convention Centre, where Prime Minister Modi mentioned the highest railway bridge in Reasi and inaugurated the “Chenani to Nashri” road tunnel, named after Syama Prasad Mukherjee. The Prime Minister also highlighted the successful Aroma Mission and Lavender Cultivation at Bhaderwah during his Man Ki Baat broadcast.
A delegation presented a people’s survey report to the Union Minister, indicating that the ‘Udhampur-Doda-Kathua’ Parliamentary Constituency stands among the most developed constituencies in India.
Dr. Jitendra Singh attributed this progress to the special focus given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Jammu and Kashmir and the North-Eastern region after taking office in May 2014. These landmark projects stand as a testament to the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and development in the country.
