Lucknow: Ayodhya, the revered birthplace of Lord Sri Rama, is set to welcome a significant addition to its spiritual landscape as the Prakrit Datta Shivalinga from the Narmada River is slated to be installed in the new Sri Rama temple. This sacred Shivalinga, sourced from the Narmada River, will find its eternal abode in Ayodhya, marking a momentous step in the temple’s journey to completion.
In a deeply symbolic and auspicious act, the Omkareshwara Yatra, carrying the sizable Shivalinga, is scheduled to commence on the 18th. This journey will witness the solemn transfer of the Shivalinga from its current residence at Omkareshwar to its destined home in Ayodhya.
The Shivalinga will find its place of reverence within one of the six smaller temples that will grace the birthplace of Lord Sri Rama. With unwavering devotion, these Shivalingas have been brought from the revered Narmada River in response to the request of Chambat Rai, General Secretary of the Sri Rama Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Nyas.
As the sacred journey unfolds, the specially prepared chariot carrying the Shivalinga will make its way to Ayodhya, culminating in its arrival at Sri Rama Janmabhoomi on the 23rd. The significance of this act lies not only in the installation of the Shivalinga itself but also in the unity and harmony it represents.
Champat Rai, articulating the profound message behind these acts, highlighted that the Ram Mandir stands as a manifestation of the concept of “Rashtra Mandir,” a temple for the entire nation. As a testament to this unity, holy theerthas (sacred waters) and idols from across the nation have been brought to Ayodhya, with construction funds and contributions flowing in from all corners of the country.
