Visakhapatnam: The ‘Varahi Yatra,’ led by Jana Sena Party (JSP) leader Pawan Kalyan, has embarked on its third leg in Visakhapatnam starting from August 10 and will continue until August 19. Tollywood superstar Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Varahi Yatra’ has gained considerable popularity among the residents of Andhra Pradesh, causing discomfort for the Jagan government.
Pawan Kalyan has taken the opportunity to address various shortcomings within the administration during his speeches, drawing sizable crowds at each gathering. Despite the government’s attempts to impede his visit to the environmentally fragile region of Rushikonda in Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan’s determination remains unswayed. The deployment of numerous police personnel and the erection of barricades to halt bike rallies have not deterred his progress. It has been specified that only seven vehicles will be allowed to accompany Pawan during his visits.
During his visit to Rushikonda, Pawan Kalyan brought attention to the issue of illegal construction, including the Chief Minister’s official residence. Allegations have arisen concerning the destruction of a significant hillock for the Chief Minister’s residence, resulting in extensive environmental degradation. Pawan Kalyan raised questions about the legitimacy of the ongoing construction in Rushikonda, inquiring whether the National Green Tribunal had granted approval. Terming the construction of Rishikonda hill resort as the biggest violation of the law, Pawan Kalyan told the media that “on this beach, the protector of the law-the Chief Minister—has become the buggest lawbreaker.”
Meanwhile, the Visakhapatnam police issued a notice to Pawan Kalyan for delivering a provocative speech during a public meeting held on Thursday.
