Mumbai: Two individuals were arrested in Pune for celebrating Pakistan day. The incident occurred on August 14th in the Kondwa area of Pune. Akbar Nadaf and Tauqeer were the two who got detained.
In a public display, both Akbar Nadaf and Tauqeer were seen celebrating Pakistan Day and voicing provocative slogans. Upon hearing the pro-Pakistan slogans, local residents informed the police. Subsequently, the police took both individuals into custody, initiating legal action against them. A case has been registered under Article 153 in connection with the incident.
According to the police, the intention of the accused was to create communalism and religious discord within society. Both accused individuals, Akbar Nadaf and Tauqeer, are employed as security personnel at private firms.
