HYDERABAD: A video depicting a minister slapping a party member has gone viral. Talasani Srinivas Yadav, a leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party and the Animal Welfare Minister of Telangana, was seen publicly slapping the member.
The incident occurred amid a large crowd during an inauguration ceremony at RTC crossroad in Hyderabad. The video’s release has sparked widespread criticism against the minister. Notably, the incident took place in the presence of BRS leader and IT Minister KT Rama Rao, who was also attending the ceremony.
The trigger for Minister Talasani’s anger was the party member’s bypassing of him during the inauguration ceremony to meet Minister KT Rama Rao. Talasani grabbed the member’s collar, pulled him back, and then slapped him on the face with his left hand, all while using abusive language.
Following the video’s viral spread, demands for action against the minister have intensified.
