Distraught from teacher’s scolding; 10th class student commits suicide by jumping from the 4th floor of school

Kolkata: A tragic incident unfolded in Kolkata’s Kasba, where a 16-year-old 10th-grade student took his own life by leaping from the fourth floor of his school premises following an altercation with a teacher. Despite immediate medical attention at the nearest hospital, the young boy’s injuries proved fatal.

Distraught parents of the deceased are alleging that their son was reprimanded by two teachers at school for failing to complete a project. The grieving parents voiced suspicions regarding the circumstances surrounding their son’s death, suggesting that the school authorities may be concealing crucial information. According to the police, the teenager made the fateful decision to jump from the terrace, driven by feelings of humiliation. The incident is currently under investigation.
