Srinagar: Centre to initiate projects with emphasis on infrastructure development in Jammu. 2941 crore project will be implemented in the border areas. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate 90 infrastructure development projects that will benefit the people. 21 roads, 64 bridges, tunnel, two airstrips and two helipads will become reality in Jammu.
These projects are of great importance to the defense forces and give a lot of impetus to the socio-economic development of the region. Kashmir, which used to be the centre of terrorist activities, is now on the path of development. New projects will be an added advantage to the growing Kashmir. Pakistan and China are looking at this move of India with great concern.
The Defense Minister arrived in Jammu to inaugurate 90 infrastructure projects of the Border Road Organization and participate in the North Tech Symposium. The symposium will also host an exhibition of India’s indigenously manufactured defense equipment and weapons.
