Defence Minister Rajnath Singh criticised DMK leader Udayanidhi Stalin’s remarks on “sanatana dharma” during a protest. He mentioned that Sanatana Dharma is eternal, and no force in the world can obliterate it. Rajnath Singh made these remarks while speaking to members of the media in Lucknow.
The statements made by DMK leaders are indeed regrettable. Sanatana Dharma carries the message that the world is a family. In our homes, when mothers and sisters cook food, if they see an ant anywhere near the food, they keep a small portion of that food. Indeed, the teachings of Sanatana Dharma have been passed down through generations, emphasising the idea that the world is one big family. Rajnath Singh emphasised that Sanatana Dharma is timeless and unshakable, stating, “No power in the world can destroy it.”
At a public event held in Chennai, there were criticisms against Sanatana Dharma, with Udayanidhi Stalin leading the opposition. Union Minister Anurag Thakur also expressed his reaction against Udayanidhi Stalin on a previous occasion. He stated that Sanatana Dharma could never be eradicated, even by the Indian alliance, which includes the Congress. He emphasised that Sanatana Dharma is not a recent creation; it is an integral part of the culture of the nation.
