Bengaluru: Asian Football Confederation (AFC) General Secretary Datuk Seri Windsor John announced plans for the growth of Indian football that will be implemented. He mentioned that football growth plans are underway with FIFA’s support and addressed the media in Bengaluru.
Good coaches are essential for developing good players. Efforts are being made to identify children’s potential at a young age and provide them with appropriate training. Emphasis will be placed on the growth of grassroots football and the participation of youth and women in football. He stated his intention to bring international teams to India and provide a better experience for the players.
Players are selected for teams solely based on their abilities. Datuk Seri also mentioned plans to bring in more FIFA referees from the country.
