Mumbai:  Amazon has officially announced the commencement of its highly anticipated Great Indian Festival, scheduled to begin on October 8. Prime members are in for a treat, with 24 hours of early access to the sale, while the general public can dive into the deals starting October 9. Amazon’s move to start the festival earlier than planned was in response to the recent announcement by rival Flipkart’s Big Billion Days.

Flipkart’s Big Billion Days is scheduled to commence on October 8th.

With a promise of ‘never-seen-before deals,’ Amazon aims to captivate shoppers with over 25,000 products available via ‘Kick Starter Deals’ from October 26. The mega sale, initially slated for October 10, was strategically brought forward to align with Flipkart’s competitive offerings.

Amazon is gearing up to provide substantial discounts across various categories, including up to 65% off on appliances, 60% off on TVs and daily essentials, and discounts ranging from 50 to 80% on top fashion and beauty products. The e-commerce giant is also introducing the option of no-cost EMI on purchases of top mobile phones, TVs, laptops, appliances, and other electronic items.

Smartphone enthusiasts can rejoice as Amazon promises the latest smartphones starting from an enticing price of ₹5,699, and 5G phones from ₹8,999 during the Great Indian Festival.

As part of its annual tradition, Amazon is extending significant discounts on its proprietary range of products. This year, customers can enjoy discounts of up to 55% on Echo smart speakers, Fire TV devices, Kindle e-readers, and Alexa smart home combos.

To sweeten the deal, Amazon is offering additional benefits for shoppers using specific payment methods. Customers using SBI bank debit or credit cards can avail of a 10% discount. Amazon Pay ICICI users can enjoy 5% unlimited cashback, while those applying for a new card are eligible for ‘welcome rewards worth INR 2500.’ Furthermore, Amazon is extending 10% cashback on the purchase of Amazon Pay Gift Cards.

For those planning a getaway, Amazon has thrown in a travel-friendly offer, providing up to 40% cashback on hotel bookings, flights, train tickets, and more.
