Bengaluru: A female student in Karnataka ended her own life after facing distress of failing her engineering exams for the second time. The incident occurred in the hostel of Sri Siddhartha Institute Of Technology in Tumakuru district of Karnataka.
The incident was discovered by the deceased student’s hostel roommates when they returned to the room in the evening. They found the female student’s lifeless body, prompting an immediate alert to the hostel warden. Law enforcement authorities were promptly notified, and they swiftly arrived at the scene to initiate further actions.
The young woman, who had finished her second year of telecom engineering and was about to start her third year, took this drastic action in her hostel room.
The student’s trouble began when she failed her semester exam for the first time. She tried again, hoping for a better outcome, but sadly, she failed in three subjects the second time as well.
Tumakuru Superintendent of Police, Ashok KV, indicated the preliminary assessment suggests that the weight of failing the exam twice may have pushed her to take this drastic step. However, no suicide note from the young female student was not discovered, and the police started investigating the case.
